🔊 Announcing our new project – Making Waves
Finding Rhythms are pleased to announce a brand new community project – ‘Making Waves’ – kicking off later this month.Â
Based on Finding Rhythms’ reputation in providing effective music interventions, ‘Making Waves’ supports underserved people in the community by providing one-to-one weekly sessions with a professional producer.Â
Over the course of 10, 1.5h sessions, participants are empowered to write and record their own music from our private studio space. Alongside this, learners have the opportunity to work towards a Prince’s Trust entry Level 3 award in Personal Development and Employability Skills and receive person-focussed mentoring support from our partner organisation, Trailblazers.Â
Funded by London’s Violence Reduction Unit, the programme aims to build participants’ confidence, self-belief and transferable skills for employment, preparing them for a better future in society.Â
Who is the programme for?
The programme is for those who:
- Are receiving support in the community for risk factors related to violence or offending, or have recently left prison
- Are interested in music and want to develop their skills and creativity with support from a professional producer
